Our history
A family business since 1969
Started by the Holak brothers as a machine tool rebuilder, GSM bought what is believed to be the first computer-controlled machine tool sold in Louisiana, in 1974.

The products we deliver are produced under a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015. We complete PPAP, FAI, Gage R&R, Cpk and Ppk studies.
Our standard for final inspection uses General Inspection Level II sampling at AQL 1.0.

Gulf South Machine and Drilex are affiliated companies that share the same founding owners and management. Drilex opened in Houston in 1982 as a result of GSM’s growth.
